 (Sacramento, CA).- Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez, (D-Pomona), Chair of the Assembly Committee on Public Employees, Retirement, and Social Security, spoke to first responders during an Informational Hearing titled " The Verizon Wireless "Data Throttling" on Mendocino Complex Firefighters' Internet Access" about their need for unrestricted access to internet services during an emergency response, such as a wildfire or earthquake. Recent reports highlighted that Verizon throttled data speeds when a data cap had been reached.

(Chino, CA) – To honor the outstanding residents of the 52nd District, Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D - Chino) held his annual summer BBQ for the entire community. Awards are distributed at the event and honorees for Veterans, Small Business and Woman of the Year are recognized for their contributions to the District. “This award actually means a lot to me because I come from a single [parent] household where I am a first-generation college student,” scholarship recipient Kristen Cohen said at the event.

(Pomona, CA) – Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D - Pomona) joined Pomona city leaders and police officers in unveiling a new local initiative to address the issue of homelessness. The Pomona Officers Assisting the Homeless (O.A.T.H.) was made possible by funding secured by Assemblymember Rodriguez in the 2018-19 State Budget. “This is a big win for Pomona,” Rodriguez said. “Pomona will receive $4 million reserved to help the police department hire new police officers and mental health professionals to work directly with our homeless population.” Learn more about the Pomona O.A.T.H.
