Assemblymember Rodriguez Presents State Budget Allocation Check at the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce

(Chino, CA) – Today, Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D – Pomona) visited the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce to present a check for a funding allocation he championed in the 2022-23 State Budget. A total of $1 million has been allocated to aid the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce in establishing the new Upskill Chino Valley program. This program will focus on further developing entrepreneurship, the workforce, the economy, and leadership throughout the city.

“I am looking forward to watching the implementation of the new Upskill Chino Valley Program. The Chamber and I share a desire to expand resources that will improve the economy and bring further business opportunities to the region, so when the program’s proposal was brought to my attention, I immediately recognized the importance of funding it,” stated Assemblymember Rodriguez.

The Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce is the largest business organization in the Chino Valley and has served the business community for 109 years. The Chamber currently serves 14,390 businesses and is dedicated to providing training and support programs, such as the new Upskill program, to build workforce skills.

The community of Chino is currently facing unique challenges. This new program will work on bridging the skills gap for the underserved and under-skilled populations of the region.

“I want to thank the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce for their dedication to aiding the success of businesses across our community. The work you do to help stabilize the economy and share resources with fellow business professionals is commendable,” added Assemblymember Rodriguez.
