Dear Neighbor,

Oil companies have been taking advantage of a model that puts profit over people when they abandon oil wells before cleaning them up, thereby leaving them “orphaned.” These wells pose serious threats to public health, safety, and the environment. They can leak oil, gas, and other contaminants into the air, water, and soil.

Dear Neighbor,

Dear Neighbor,

On Saturday, August 5, the 100 Acre Partnership will be hosting Community Design Workshop #3, in which constituents from across our district will have a chance to lend a voice in the proposed final conceptual design for the Paseo del Río at Taylor Yard, next door to the Rio de Los Ángeles State Park. This is an important, environmentally focused concept in the community of Glassell Park that will turn an old rail yard into open space that ultimately benefits the entire City of Los Ángeles.
