Dear Neighbor,

On Saturday, August 5, the 100 Acre Partnership will be hosting Community Design Workshop #3, in which constituents from across our district will have a chance to lend a voice in the proposed final conceptual design for the Paseo del Río at Taylor Yard, next door to the Rio de Los Ángeles State Park. This is an important, environmentally focused concept in the community of Glassell Park that will turn an old rail yard into open space that ultimately benefits the entire City of Los Ángeles.

Dear Neighbor,

I am pleased to announce that due to our efforts last year to add $750 million for encampments in our California State Budget; LA County received a grant award totaling $60 million that will serve 3,000 people on Skid Row in our fight to end homelessness. This funding is provided by the Encampment Relief Fund under the California Interagency Council on Homelessness, part of the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency, which I oversee in my role as Chair of the Assembly Budget Sub-4 committee on State Administration.

Dear Neighbor,

The State of California is operating a grant program for small businesses and nonprofits, authorized through AB 152, which we passed in last year’s budget to provide relief to eligible businesses and nonprofits. These grants are designed to alleviate costs incurred for COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave provided between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022.

Dear Friend,

I am proud that the Legislature passed a budget today that reflects our commitment to California's future that is now on its way to the Governor’s desk.

Dear Neighbor,

Very happy to announce that several important pieces of legislation have moved forward from the Assembly and will now be moving through the Senate. We’re very proud of our work on behalf of our communities and the people of California. This is only a partial list of our legislative package, take a look below:

Housing and Homelessness

Dear neighbor,

Individuals experiencing homelessness or domestic violence often are denied shelter if they don’t surrender their pets. When pets are surrendered, less than 15% are reunited, furthering depression and anxiety among our most vulnerable.

Dear neighbor,

It is my pleasure to invite all community members involved in non-profit organizations operating in Assembly District 52 to join my office for a town hall and panel discussion. This event will provide non-profit organizations with an excellent opportunity to learn about the state resources available to support community initiatives across our district.

Through the discussions, we will provide an opportunity for community-based organizations to network and share ideas. Details and RSVP below:

DATE: June 9, 2023 from

Dear friends,

As Mother's Day nears, we take time to recognize and celebrate the tireless efforts and immeasurable contributions of mothers everywhere. We acknowledge the love, care, and support that mothers provide for their families and communities every day. I am especially grateful to my own mother who inspires me each and every day.

Dear friend,

On May 20, 2023, the 100 Acre Partnership will host its first-ever tree adoption event in Los Angeles, providing LA residents with FREE trees to bring more shade and greenery to our neighborhoods.
