AB 439 – Task Order Procurement Contracting – Extends the sunset for the Task Order Contracting for School Districts law, allowing Los Angeles Unified School District to continue to use the task order procurement method for repair and maintenance projects.
AB 481 – Dental Assistants Scope of Practice – Addresses the dental assistant workforce shortage in California by creating new licensure pathways and expanding the duties of dental assistants.
AB 562 – The County of Los Angeles Fiscal Controls – Deletes obsolete provisions in current law that impose outdated fiscal controls on the County of Los Angeles.
AB 581 – Providing Access to Healing Act – Streamlines the clearance process for rehabilitative program providers so community based organizations may more effectively provide life-affirming programs to incarcerated Californians.
AB 665 – Mental Health Consent Parity for Medi-Cal Recipients – Creates parity between youth receiving Medi-Cal and their privately insured peers when receiving mental health services.
AB 689 – Incumbent Health Care Workers – Takes meaningful steps to address the healthcare workforce crisis by creating a pathway for incumbent workers to advance in their careers through a community college.
AB 712 – CalFresh Hot & Prepared Foods – Makes all CalFresh recipients eligible to purchase hot and prepared foods at authorized retailers, and would require the Department of Social Services to seek all necessary federal waivers and approvals in order to implement.
AB 1167 – Orphan Well Prevention Act – Ensures that the state receives a bond equal to the full cost of site cleanup when an oil well is sold, protecting taxpayer dollars in the event the well becomes “orphaned.”
AB 1194 – Protecting Reproductive Health Data – Clarifies that a business exemptions from compliance with CPRA do not include a consumer accessing, procuring, or searching for services regarding contraception, pregnancy care, and perinatal care, including abortion services.
AB 1215 – Ethnic Studies Task Force – Requires the Commission on Teacher Credentialing to convene a statewide Task Force comprised of stakeholders to develop recommendations for the creation of a pathway for an Ethnic Studies credential for K-12 teachers.
AB 1306 – Harmonizing Our Measures for Equality – Restricts the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from transferring individuals leaving incarceration to immigration authorities if they have also benefited from recent resentencing and compassionate release reforms.
AB 1317 – Unbundling of Parking from Rent – Requires parking to be leased separately from the price of rent. This measure would allow tenants in qualifying residential properties to purchase parking only when needed, increasing housing affordability while reducing traffic congestion, car dependency, and carbon emissions.
AB 1389 – Notice of Financial Levy – Provides an individual additional time to resolve outstanding liabilities by extending the levy remittance time limit of five days to between 10 to 14 business days.
AB 1404 – Internet Website Accessibility – Requires someone serving a civil complaint on a business alleging a website accessibility violation to also provide the business with a notice about legal rights and obligations relating to the accessibility of websites.
AB 1432 – Health Care Coverage – Requires all out-of-state healthcare insurance providers who provide coverage to California residents, comply with California’s Constitutional amendment to secure comprehensive reproductive healthcare including abortion and gender affirming care.
AB 1493 – Career Development Apprenticeship Program – Establishes an alternative examination and appointment process in state civil service, providing a new method for merit-based hiring to increase access to state civil service careers.
AB 1549 – Federally Qualified Health Centers – Updates the Prospective Payment System for Community Based Health Centers to reflect their investment in patient outcomes and whole-person care initiatives.
AB 1607 – Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency – Expedites the transfer of land from local cities within Los Angeles County to the Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency, which will expedite the construction of affordable housing.
AB 1703 – State Athletic Commission – Prevents the California State Athletic Commission from becoming insolvent by modestly increasing the gate revenue fee paid by fight promoters for sporting events the commission regulates.
AB 1738 – Mobile Homeless Connect Pilot Program – Expands the Mobile Homeless Connect program to a year-round, full-time effort, partnering mobile Department of Motor Vehicles teams with Continuums of Care across the Counties of Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Sacramento, and the City and County of San Francisco to speed up the process of rehousing individuals experiencing homelessness by processing document and identification requests at interim housing sites and targeted encampments.
