AB 439 – Task Order Procurement Contracting – Extends the pilot program authorizing the Los Angeles Unified School District to continue using the task order procurement method for repair and maintenance projects until 2034. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 523, Statutes of 2023.

AB 562 – The County of Los Angeles Fiscal Controls – Repeals an outdated reporting requirement for Los Angeles County to submit its annual budget to the State, bringing it in line with other countries. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 90, Statutes of 2023.

AB 581 – Providing Access to Healing (PATH) Act – Streamlines the clearance process for rehabilitative program providers so community-based organizations may effectively provide life-affirming programs to incarcerated Californians. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 335, Statutes of 2023.

AB 665 – Mental Health Consent Parity for Medi-Cal Recipients – Aligns provisions of state law so that minors covered by Medi-Cal will have the same right to consent to mental health services as their privately insured peers. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 338, Statutes of 2023.

AB 712 – CalFresh Hot & Prepared Foods – Helps families with food insecurity by requiring the California Department of Social Services to seek a federal waiver for CalFresh recipients to purchase hot and prepared foods. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 121, Statutes of 2023.

AB 1167 – The Orphan Well Prevention Act – Ensures that the State of California receives an adequate cash bond equal to the full cost of a site cleanup when an oil well is sold, so the financial responsibility of clean up and remediation falls with the oil well operators and not California taxpayers in the event the well is "orphaned." Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 359, Statutes of 2023.

AB 1194 – Protecting Reproductive Health Data  Strengthens the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) to ensures individuals searching for information related to contraception, pregnancy care, perinatal care, and abortion services will have their data protected under the CPRA, without exception. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 567, Statutes of 2023.

AB 1317 – Unbundling of Parking from Rent – Adopts a pilot program that requires property owners of new multi-family residential properties in certain counties to unbundle the cost of parking from the cost of the housing unit, which will increase housing affordability while reducing traffic congestion, car dependency, and carbon emissions. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 757, Statutes of 2023.

AB 1389 – Notice of Financial Levy – Provides an individual additional time to resolve outstanding liabilities by extending the levy remittance time limit of five days to between 10 to 14 business days. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 839, Statutes of 2023.

AB 1404 – Internet Website Accessibility – Requires someone serving a civil complaint on a business alleging a website accessibility violation to also provide the business with a notice about legal rights and obligations relating to the accessibility of websites. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 842, Statutes of 2023.

AB 1607 – Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency – Allows the Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency to transfer a portion of revenue raised by a tax measure to the County of Los Angeles for programs that provide supports and services to prevent and combat homelessness. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 730, Statutes of 2023.   

AB 1703 – State Athletic Commission – Prevents the California State Athletic Commission from becoming insolvent by modestly increasing the gate revenue fee paid by fight promoters for sporting events the commission regulates. Chaptered by Secretary of State - Chapter 591, Statutes of 2023.

ACR 84 – The 80th Anniversary of the Zoot Suit Riots – Commemorates June 2023 as the 80th Anniversary of the Zoot Suit Riots.

HR 24 – Major League Baseball Opening Day 2023 – Honors Major League Baseball Opening Day 2023 and recognizes the teams’ contributions to California's economy, culture, and identity.  It also pledges to continue to support and promote baseball in California and to ensure that the state remains a hub of baseball excellence for years to come.

AB 1215 – Pets Assistance with Support Grant Program – Requires the Department of Housing and Community Development to establish a grant program to provide funding to homeless shelters and domestic violence shelters to provide shelter, food, and basic veterinary services for pets owned by individuals experiencing homelessness or escaping domestic violence.

AB 1306 – Harmonizing Our Measures for Equality (HOME) Act – Restricts the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from transferring individuals leaving incarceration to immigration authorities if they have also benefited from recent resentencing and compassionate release reforms.

AB 1432 – Health Care Coverage – Requires all out-of-state healthcare insurance providers who provide coverage to California residents, to comply with California's Constitutional amendment to secure comprehensive reproductive healthcare including abortion and gender affirming care as a right.

AB 481 – Dental Assistants Scope of Practice – Addresses the dental assistant workforce shortage in California by creating new licensure pathways and expanding the duties of dental assistants.

AB 689 – Incumbent Health Care Workers – Takes meaningful steps to address the healthcare workforce crisis by creating a pathway for incumbent workers to advance in their careers through a community college.

AB 1493 – Career Development Apprenticeship Program – Establishes an alternative examination and appointment process in state civil service, providing a new method for merit-based hiring to increase access to state civil service careers.

AB 1549 – Federally Qualified Health Centers – Updates the Prospective Payment System for Community Based Health Centers to reflect their investment in patient outcomes and whole-person care initiatives.

AB 1738 – Mobile Homeless Connect Pilot Program – Expands the Mobile Homeless Connect program to a year-round, full-time effort, partnering mobile Department of Motor Vehicles teams with Continuums of Care across the Counties of Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Sacramento, and the City and County of San Francisco. Doing so, will speed up the process of rehousing individuals experiencing homelessness by processing document and identification requests at interim housing sites and targeted encampments.
