Impacted by the Ongoing Entertainment Strike?
Dear Neighbor,
The Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is hosting an in-person Resource Fair for actors, writers, performers, workers and small businesses impacted by the shutdown of television and film productions, resulting from the entertainment strikes. Many of those impacted reside in our communities, as the entertainment industry employs 216,000 workers and works with 15,000 small, local businesses, ranging from florists to caterers to dry cleaners.
This resource fair will bring together various County departments and other partners to provide on-site support, resources and technical assistance to all those impacted, including financial assistance for impacted workers, capital opportunities for businesses, legal assistance, rent and mortgage relief, access to critical county benefits, and more.
