Investing in Our Community $2 Million at a Time
Dear Neighbor,
Through our state budget process, my office was successful in securing $4 Million in funds to enhance vital services in Los Angeles. This includes $2 million for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) to further healthcare research and significantly expand its Division of Young Adult and Adolescent Medicine. In addition, we secured a $2 million investment in the L.A. Welcomes Collective, which will substantially aid in providing shelter and legal services to immigrant individuals in Los Angeles County.
We are grateful to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the LA Welcomes Collective for their partnership, trust and collaboration to serve the people of our community.
