On January 21, 2021, Assemblymember Carrillo convened a special joint hearing as Chair of Sub Committee #4 of the Assembly's Budget Committee, with Assembly's Committee on Housing, to examine the State of California's role in preventing homelessness, as well as its role in housing houseless Californians.
