(Sacramento) - Wendy Carrillo (D-Los Angeles) has been sworn in to serve as the 51st District’s Assemblymember. “In this moment in our nation’s history, when women, immigrants, refugees, undocumented communities, minority groups and the world in which we live is threatened every day, I find the responsibility to govern quite humbling,” Assemblymember Carrillo said. In the Assembly, Carrillo will focus her efforts on protecting women’s rights, universal healthcare, education, job creation, and affordable housing throughout California.
